Four years ago, a tiny princess entered our world and forever changed our kingdom. With a smile that could light the grandest castle hall and a spirit full of wonder, laughter, and adventure, our sweet Ava-Maree has spent the past four years filling our hearts with more love than we ever thought possible.
And so, on a glorious day surrounded by family and friends, we gathered to celebrate her fourth birthday with a theme most fitting for royalty:
Four Ever a Princess
For one magical afternoon, our humble kingdom was transformed into a royal realm where Disney princesses wandered the castle grounds and brave young warriors marched proudly with swords and shields in hand.
The royal guests arrived dressed in their finest attire. Sparkling gowns shimmered in the sunlight while courageous knights prepared themselves for quests of bravery and adventure. Laughter echoed throughout the kingdom as friendships were strengthened, games were played, and countless memories were made.
A Princess Surrounded by Her Kingdom
At the centre of it all stood the birthday princess herself.
Ava-Maree embraced every magical moment of the day, surrounded by the people who love her most. Watching her laugh with friends, dance with excitement, and enjoy every royal surprise reminded us just how quickly the years have passed.
It feels like only yesterday that we were celebrating her first birthday, yet here she was, four years old, full of personality, curiosity, confidence, and imagination.
Every parent says it, but it truly does feel as though time moves far too quickly.
The Great Dinosaur Invasion
No great kingdom's story would be complete without a challenge to overcome.
As the festivities were underway, a fearsome dinosaur appeared within the kingdom walls.
Now, history may record events slightly differently, but from what witnesses reported, this terrible beast looked suspiciously like Ava-Maree's dad wearing an inflatable dinosaur suit.
The creature stomped through the royal grounds, roaring and causing great excitement among the gathered guests.
Fortunately, the kingdom was protected by a formidable alliance of princesses and warriors.
Armed with courage, determination, swords, shields, and a considerable amount of enthusiasm, the young heroes joined forces and embarked on a quest to defeat the mighty beast.
What followed was one of the highlights of the day.
Princesses charged bravely into battle.
Warriors launched daring attacks.
The dinosaur fled, stumbled, and was repeatedly "slain" by the kingdom's smallest heroes.
The battle raged on until the beast finally admitted defeat, much to the delight of the cheering crowd.
As far as royal battles go, it was a complete victory for the kingdom.
The Magic of Childhood
One of the greatest joys of being a parent is seeing the world through your child's eyes.
A simple school yard becomes a castle.
Inflatable swords and shields becomes a legendary weapon.
An inflatable dinosaur becomes a fearsome dragon from a distant land.
Watching the children immerse themselves completely in the story they created reminded us how magical childhood truly is.
For a few precious hours, there were no screens, no schedules, and no worries.
There was only imagination, adventure, and laughter.
And honestly, that's exactly how childhood should be.

Ava-Maree,
You have brought more happiness into our lives than words could ever describe.
You are kind, funny, clever, adventurous, and full of love. Every day you surprise us with something new, whether it's a funny story, a thoughtful question, or one of your wonderfully creative ideas.
Watching you grow has been the greatest adventure of our lives.
We are so proud of the little person you are becoming and so grateful that we get to walk beside you on this journey.
No matter how old you become, you will always be our little princess.
