Ava-Maree’s Big Leap: A New School, New Milestones, and a Whole New World

As parents, we often marvel at how quickly time passes. One moment, we’re cradling our tiny babies, and the next, they’re marching confidently into a new chapter of their lives. This past month has been one of those incredible turning points for us—Ava-Maree has started at her new Montessori school, and the progress she has made in just two weeks is nothing short of amazing.

From Day One to Independence
Starting at a new school is a big step for any child, but at just two and a half years old, Ava-Maree has embraced this change with open arms. We were prepared for an adjustment period, but she surprised us all—thriving in her new environment, making new friends, and embracing the Montessori way of learning with curiosity and enthusiasm.

One of the biggest milestones? No more diapers! In just two weeks, she made the transition, something we had expected to take much longer. Watching her take this step towards independence has been so rewarding.

Conversations and Storytelling
Every day, she comes home full of stories about her day, sharing what she learned, who she played with, and the exciting little moments that made her smile. It’s incredible to see how her vocabulary and confidence have flourished in such a short time. She’s not just talking more—she’s engaging, asking questions, and expressing herself in ways that continue to amaze us.

Tiny Dancer, Big Dreams
As if starting school wasn’t enough, Ava-Maree has also started ballet classes—and let me tell you, watching her twirl and move with such joy is a heartwarming sight. At just two and a half, she’s already developing a love for dance, and we can’t wait to see how this passion grows.

Watching Her Shine
It’s been a whirlwind of emotions watching her navigate these big changes, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that Ava-Maree is fearless, adaptable, and full of surprises. This new chapter in her life is just beginning, and we couldn’t be prouder of how she’s embraced it with excitement and determination.

Every week one of the class friends have a turn to bake or make something fun with the parents and sell their creations to friends. The joy these pictures bring to our hearts as parents, well words could never describe, pictures are worth way more than a 1000 words. This type of pride will bring any dad to his knees in tears.
