Hi I'm Collin

I am a Software Developer living in South Africa.
I am a self-taught programmer who believes that you can accomplish anything in if you put your mind to it, and are willing to put in the hard work.
I am an automation fanatic and I enjoy making, tinkering, building and DIYing.

I created this blog site as a way to share what I learn and share general posts about my life. Also to get in touch with people with a similar interest and hopefully inspire people to join the world of automation.  

I am a huge advocate of open source projects and would much rather promote these than feed the corporate greed of a monster that is closed source products.

Some other things about me

I enjoy mountain biking and love the outdoors.
I am a husband to my beautiful wife, Cheryl and a father of a daughter Ava-Maree,  as well as two little furry kids, our suasage dogs. For that reason, I try to make all my automations pet friendly as well, but most importantly I need to get the WAF (wife approval factor).

Tinkering is one of my passions along with 3D printing so the site gives me a way to share new projects and ideas.
